Street2School Nigeria

In the year 2014, I believe I was inspired by Holy Spirit to begin educational programs for young people in society, especially, the less privileged children as a way of impacting and giving them a sense of belonging.

First, we started with a competition, a spelling bee competition that had two categories; those already in school competing and those not also in the school but desire to go to school. Winners from these categories were through the support of our partners given scholarships, gifts, and encouragement to not stop halfway, but finish their education and make the world a better place.

Then next was our street2school campaign in 2018. Through this campaign, four children were taken off the streets of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, and back to school. Three of them were orphans but with an undying desire and hunger to be either a lawyer, nurse, soldier, and doctor.

We adopted them and ever since then they have all been in school and all the required(/tuition fees, books, transportation, etc) have all been provided for.

For the past 5 years, my team and I have stayed committed to giving helping hands to street children by sponsoring them via our school project; #Street2SchoolNigeria where we take children off the streets and back to school and we have seen encouraging results in these efforts.

Over and over again, we’ve seen the willingness of these kids toward learning just like other privileged ones.
